[Update: Valve has dismissed the rumours and have stated that it will still be going to the PC but as far as consoles are concerned, it will be an exclusive to the Xbox 360, at least for 2008.]

ElectronicTheatre.com reports that Portal: Still Alive will be coming to the Playstation 3 soon after the Xbox 360 version becomes available.

If you haven’t played Portal yet and don’t plan on buying the Orange Box, then save some points for this, you will not be disappointed. Will this version be the same one coming to XBL though?

It seems that we don’t yet have confirmation that the version coming to PS3 will be exactly the same, or of it will be altered and possibly retitled. I can’t see any reason for them to do something like that though and I am pretty sure that they will be releasing the same game that will be available on XBL.

… Still sulking over the fact that this is not portal 2. Both the e3 announcement and the title imply it.

There hasn’t been much reason for me to buy an XboX; Halo, GoW, Bioshock weren’t good enough reason. But Portal could be the one that does it.

It was available for PS3 in the Orange Box and I am sure that you could pick that up second hand now for a good price. Not to mention that it comes with the incredible Half Life 2 series, if you havent already played them on PC.

I do have The Orange Box, and even though the port was a stinker i still finished the whole thing. But Portal truly is a masterpiece.
