Ratchet & Clank Future: 93/100

The Official PlayStation magazine has reviewed Ratchet & Clank.

Now when the PSM reviewed Warhawk the fanboys went nuts about the editor being biased and this being an evil plot by Microsoft to smear the PS3.

Now I am pretty sure the fanboys will be more than happy to point at the 93/100 R&C received as proof of how good the game is… You gotta love fanboys.

Anyway the PSM’s final remark was

Intense, beautiful, and accessible. A return to the series roots and a stellar game indeed

This game look awesome and I cannot wait for it to be released… Oh and before anyone says anything, this game is rumoured to be 22 gigs which is being used to prove why the PS3 has Blu-Ray. Sorry but it doesn’t look any better than Bioshock, Gears or Call of Duty 4 so I don’t see why it required 22 gigs.

@LG: Yes, because the size of the game is only reflective of how good it looks….. *rolleyes*

@ocelot, yeah the couple of hundred hours in Oblivion also didn’t require 22 gigs…

space is generally taken up by either video, graphics or sound…. An actual map/stage is quite small once you take away the graphics…

I dont know why its so surprising? Games are gonna keep getting bigger and bigger. Just take a look at UT3, devs have already said DVD is limiting the Xbox, these are just out of place cos they are the first big games, soon this will become the norm and us Blu boys will be smiling 😀

@abe, I agree with you 100%, your just a generation early and it will most probably be a new type of storage by the time it is required.

Sony got ahead of itself by bundling an expensive piece of hardware to early in the systems life cycle.

Especially since it’s competitors didn’t, It just means that all multi-platform games will be developed for the 360 and ported. They took a risk and so far I see it failing.

Blue Dragon spans across 3 DVDs and I dont see any issues with that on the X360. Epic is just being appeasing to Sony coz they got paid for the month’s exclusivity for UT3. And besides, thanks to the PS3 SDK UT3 will get delayed till 2008. 🙁

Psm3 is not the official playstation mag as far is i know , it is independant , the other one is official and carry the playable demos on BD.

So i’m sure they were not paid to review it highly like some other people are.

Lazy I seriously doubt that all games will be developed for xbox and then ported to the PS3, more and more the ps is coming into its own, and dual launches are starting to tip in favour of the ps. Its already being rumoured that the game of the year (potentially) COD 4 is shaping to be better on PS3

@Abe, where have you read that COD4 is better on the PS3? Every demo I have seen has been on the Xbox 360 so far?
