Is your Big Rubber Rumour Stampâ„¢ ready? Good, then bash away on this one: according to the magazine PC Gamer (as reported via CVG) the next Tomb Raider game will be set in a big, open world Japanese island.

With the open world will come a series of puzzles that have multiple solutions to them similar to those found in Tomb Raider: Underworld. In addition, the magazine reports that Lara will be much younger thereby giving the game a sort of “origins” twist ala that one level in Tomb Raider: Legend.

This will be a continuation of the traditional Tomb Raider franchise and not another reboot like Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. The final titbit (kekeke) of rumour is that we might see this arriving for Christmas 2011.
