A “reliable source” has told SecondStoryGamer.com that EA is looking to expand the Mass Effect Trilogy to the PS3, mostly because of the “the economic outlook”.
I have said it before and I will say it again that more companies need to go multiplatform. Sure a good exclusive can help boost the sales of a console but I find that the survival of game development companies is far more important, especially the way that the economy is going at the moment.
For those PS3 owners interested in Mass Effect and if the rumour is in fact true, it looks as though a port of the Xbox 360 version may see the light of day later this year.
More info after the jump.
While Bioware and EA aren’t exactly struggling, it still makes way more sense to go multiplatform, essentially doubling sales of the title. Mass Effect was fantastic in my opinion and I sure as hell hope it goes to PS3 as well so that even more gamers can enjoy the experience.
The source says that the official announcement will be coming at GDC this year, although don’t forget that this is a rumour and nothing is solid at the moment.
Now please, would somebody start making a port of Killzone 2 for the Xbox 360.

Well it might be true due to “economic outlook” but then Konami will probably thinking the same thing with MGS4 😮

I really liked part one. I am so anxious for part two and I am so sure part three will be great as well. I hope to see more details on part 2 and 3 soon.
