Developer: Traveller’s Tales
Publisher: Disney Interactive Studios
Available: May 13, 2011

LEGO: Pirates of the Caribbean will, if you didn’t guess from the title, play out memorable scenes from the first three films, as well as the upcoming fourth film, “Pirates of the Caribbean – On Stranger Tides,” adding in the usual splash of LEGO humour to keep things interesting.

To be honest, I wasn’t really into the LEGO video game franchise until I played the latest Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars on the 3DS. They are fun, easygoing games and judging by the trailer below, LEGO: Pirates of the Caribbean looks just as good. O and did I mention easy trophies?

The Witcher: Assassins of Kings
Platforms: PC
Developer: CD Projekt
Publisher: Atari
Available: May 17, 2011
Kalahari.net price: from R345.95

The sequel to CD Projekt Red’s unexpected hit The Witcher, is coming out this month and from all the trailers and screens is looking a easy GOTY candidate. Everyone around the Lazygamer offices is excited about The Witcher: Assassins of Kings, and for more reasons other than just boobs.

Make sure to check out the trailer below and look out for the collector’s edition coming soon.

LA Noire
Platforms: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Developer: Team Bondi & Rockstar Games
Publisher: Rockstar Games
Available: May 20, 2011
Kalahari.net price: R518.95

Ah gangsters, who wouldn’t want to be one in the post-war boom of Hollywood’s Golden Age… well in LA Noire you don’t get to be one.

Instead you are FBI agent Cole Phelps thrown into a city of corruption and drug addicts. But what do I know? I haven’t had any time with the game and this segment should rather be finished off by someone who has. Our own Geoff Tim had a hands-on with game and wrote up an excellent preview: L.A Noire hands-on preview – a real police quest.

That’s a wrap for this week peeps, make sure to check back next week for 5 more games you shouldn’t live without. In the mean time check out the games we have already covered below.
