If you had access to an American pay per view service, and a fondness for watching grown men in tights grapple with each other, then you were no doubt watching Wrestlemania 28 on Sunday. And while the actual event played out for the thousands in attendance, another Wrestlemania has been announced for this year, in the form of a new game that is meant to complement WWE 12.
It’s all the DLC content up to date, including previously exclusive characters and outfits. There’s no word yet whether this quick cash-in will also address several issues with the original game, such as fixing the Spider-man reflexes of the AI, ridiculous spikes in difficulty and broken combat system.
Still, if muddy gameplay and a repertoire of actions that are more two-dimensional than Doink the Clown happen to be your thing, here’s what you can expect if you go ahead and purchase this Wrestlemania Edition of men in tights.

And of course, you’ll get some fancy new ring gear to sport for your favourite superstars! But seriously, the game has barely been out for six months now, and then this comes along? It kinda smells like a five knuckle shuffle of gimmicky tie-in marketing, to be honest.
But don’t think that this is me hating on the franchise, as I’ve always loved the squared circle fisticuffs. It’s just that last years annual game was such a rock bottom effort, that any future titles need to seriously look back at what made the previous games so great, and go back to the drawing board with those ideas.
