There’s a new Metal Gear Solid game on the way, and it’s not the one that features a robot dog that has a chainsaw for a tail. Hideo Kojima is bringing the original Snake back, for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, as the future Big Boss goes open world. Wondering what that video of the new Fox Engine graphics looked like, during that special presentation? Well wonder no more, and hit the jump.
That footage that you see there? That’s current-gen capability at its finest, as Kojima has also confirmed that the Fox Engine can be upscaled to create games for future console platforms as well. It’s all in-game tech, mind you, and while playing a Metal Gear game usually requires you to sit back with a bucket of popcorn and watch the title in action, before taking control, it’s still pretty damn impressive.
How about you, glorified tech demo, or the start of something beautiful?
