What games kept you busy during the holidays?

2 min read

As you may have noticed, we’ve resumed our regular posting schedule, which means that you get to read our particular brand of video game related nonsense again. It does, however, mean that because we’re back at work after a far-too short break we’re a little grumpier than we rightly should be – but at least we’ve had a break, unlike poor Gavin who’s been slaving away to keep you all entertained.

We certainly hope you’ve had a jolly, safe and blessed Christmas Yuletide Kwanzaa Festivus holiday – but what we want to know is what games kept you busy during the break (if you were fortunate enough to get some time away from shopping and family gatherings, that is). Me? Played a lot of Skyrim, finished up Uncharted 3, destroyed demons (and perhaps, slivers of my own sanity) with Shadows of the Damned, gave Modern Warfare 3’s single player a bash, made my way through Arkham City and played more than a healthy dose of Plants vs Zombies in the last two weeks.

What’ve you been playing?

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
