Xbox 360 gets a price cut in Japan

In an attempt to move some more consoles in the Japanese market Microsoft has announced a $50 price cut effective from the 1st of November.

The 360 has consistently been outsold by the PS3 and Wii in Japan and to be honest I don’t see how a $50 price cut is going to change anything in that territory. I honestly think Microsoft are misguided in their attempt to win over the Japanese gamers and would do better if they concentrated more of that money on other markets.

Yes I am aware of the fact that every console that has failed in Japan has gone on to fail world wide but times change. Leave Japan to the PS3 and Wii and concentrate more on the Western and Eastern European nations.

So any guesses on when this price cut will filter down to other markets?
