There’s nothing better than hearing that there will be a sequel to one of your favourite games of all time but it frustrates me personally when you start reading up on all the changes that will happen to the new title, most importantly changes to the things that made the first game that great for you, be it the gameplay, genre or drastic character changes.

Am I the only one that thinks that developers should listen more closely and consider what the consumers want? We are afterall the one’s that will be buying the product…

Dont get me wrong, a sequel to a great game should improve on the classic but shouldn’t create something totally new yet sell it using the name and already built up trademark for the previous title.

[Ed] So do you agree with Andrey or do you think sequels should fundamentally change to keep the game fresh
