eSports is growing at a phenomenal rate – especially where the big two in the MOBA sphere is concerned. League of Legends and Dota dominate the eSports arena, and it’s looking like eSports a whole could break in to the mainstream. For the most part, each game is played by young lads who spend far too much time at their computers. You know what else young lads who spend far too much time at their computers do? Watch Porn. This could be a match made in heaven.
You know you’ve made it when the Porn Industry starts taking notice; and now one of the largest porn-serving websites on the planet, YouPorn (or uhm…so I’m told), is looking to sponsor a Dota, LoL or Hearthstone team.
Do we have any competitive LoL, DOTA2, or HeartStone players following us? What do you think about YouPorn sponsoring a team?

The most interesting aspect of this is the announcements that could come at games; “Team Fapininthebox, brought to you by the titties from YouPorn!”
It’s not the first time an adult entertainment company has tried sponsoring eSports; Brazzers has dipped its toes in the Esports waters before. Of course, the big downside to having porn sponsor eSports is the general stigma involved. Porn, adult entertainment and sex work are seen by many as disgusting practices, and something that could sully the name of eSports right as it’s on the cusp of being accepted as a mainstream sporting practice.
Do you think the association of porn with eSports could be damaging, or do you think more sponsorship – form whatever the source – is important?

Part of the reason so many folk look down at eSports and gaming is precisely the immaturity of many gamers. In no other ‘sport’ do you get folk who say ‘I r*ped him’ as a figure of speech.
Associating porn with esports is just another reason for folk not to take it seriously. Besides, other sponsors such as NVideo, Intel won’t stand for being associated with another company that is involved in porn.
