Stranglehold for the PS3 and Xbox 360

So I just finished playing Stranglehold this week and I thought I would share some thoughts on it since it is about to be released on PS3 as well.

I was not very interested in getting this game but as fate would have it someone wanted to swap it for a book I had so I was lucky enough to get it for cheap…

I had low expectations as I had heard it was just a Max Payne rip off and was being sold more on it’s celebrity status than anything else, well that is just pure sour grapes from some sections. This game is amazing.

Yes it’s not very long (about 8-10 hours) but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

It’s more like an immersive cinematic experience than a normal game and I think that is what makes it great. I am sure there are problems with it but for R500-R600 this game is worth it.

Pity the multi-player is terrible though, just ignore the fact that it has multi-player and you will be fine.

The horrible multiplayer is an afterthought but I was annoyed by the constant “manouvers” the character does when just touching a table or any surface he can do acrobatics on.

Overall the game becomes a tedious shooter without much variation IMO.

lol different strokes, I enjoyed all the funky moves he did whenever he got close to something…

Like I said though, it’s more of a cinematic experience than a true game…

    I loved this game.

After playing games like Bioshock and all the rest i really enjoyed the no-brainer simplicity of this.

Just a pitty the MP is shize and there are so many MP achievements.
