We received a press release this week from Megarom stating that Sacred 2 has officially gone gold. The question now is whether or not you are going to buy it. It just so happens that the PC demo of Sacred 2 is out now and available for download so why not give it a spin? I enjoyed the first Sacred as it was a great filler for someone who just essentially wanted more "Diablo" to play. Sacred 2 is looking pretty interesting so far but I still want to know how the console controls are going to work. One must wonder if Sacred 2 has taken its own direction enough so that it is seen as it's own unique game and not just a clone. If it's fun then I don't really care to be honest. Some confusion on the internet has led to many gaming news websites announcing that the Mirror's Edge demo would become available on September 26. Unfortunately, anyone who was looking forward to some daredevil rooftop shenanigans will have to wait a little longer because EA has confirmed that the demo will in fact, not be available on said date, saying: "The demo will be out prior to launch (no official date yet) and the pre-order begins Sept 26". So while pre-orders will start on the 26th, no official date for the demo's availability has been set. Be sure that when a date is announced we will have the story.

Good news for anyone that is interested in the latest zombie bashing survival shooter from Valve. Valve's Gabe Newell has confirmed that a demo will be coming out soon for Xbox 360 and PC. "I don't know what the date is for release [of the demo] though. I think it's going to contain the first part of one of the campaigns. I think it'll probably be Hospital but I'm not sure." says Newell when discussing the topic. Hopefully we will see it before the release of the game in November because if my memory serves me correctly, the demo for Half Life 2 on PC came a good while after the release of the game in stores. So with the demo giving gamers a taste of both single and multiplayer, it should give us enough to decide if its worth our money in the crazy upcoming season of releases.
