PLEASE NOTE: Because I have been obsessed with Star Wars for most of my life, and can talk about it at incredible length, this review is long. Very long. But it is also very SPOILER FREE. You’re welcome. I am a Star Wars nut and I liked The Phantom Menace. There, I said it. In my defense though, most of …

I am a Star Wars nut and I liked The Phantom Menace. There, I said it. In my defense though, most of the other hardcore fans spewing out of midnight screenings back in 1999 once felt the same, heads a-buzzing from the simple fact that for the first time in nearly two decades we had new Star Wars streaming into our eyeballs.

Look, I’ve written a lot about Star Wars: The Force Awakens – A LOT! – so I’m kind of all out of things to say in these opening paragraphs at this point in time. All I will say is that JJ Abrams and the rest of the people at Disney/Lucasfilm are liars, and here’s a new Thanksgiving extended TV spot …

I must admit, I’m quite hesitant to write this article. After writer/director JJ Abrams and co outright lied to us by saying that there would be no more trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, only for a new Japanese one to show up and drop a whole batch of new footage, I’ve been afraid that Disney may just be …

They lied! It’s barely been two weeks since Disney rolled out what they promised to be the “final” trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but a new preview has just popped up courtesy of Disney Japan. Maybe they have a different understanding of “final” over in the East, or maybe they just didn’t get the memo from super-secretive director …

We’re just short of six weeks away from the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but with the final trailer already out (and apparently watched by about a bajillion and a half people) we shouldn’t expect any major reveals any more. Not that we actually had any (damn, that JJ Abrams is secretive). But that doesn’t mean that the …

Trailer Breakdown – Star Wars: The Force Awakens

By Darryn Bonthuys

Originally published on Lazygamer.net A good trailer needs to set a mood. To get your heart beating, and your fandom swelling. But it also needs to not give away any key plot points, and save a few surprises for the actual film. I’m looking at you, Terminator: Genisys. This morning, Star Wars delivered on that idea. The final trailer for …

Analysing every secret and Easter egg in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer

By Darryn Bonthuys

Many Bothans died in order to give me enough access to the site to make a trailer analysis post. Let’s make the most of their very easily expendable deaths, and start combing the desert of Jakku for secrets and Easter eggs in the final Star Wars trailer.
