We’re just short of six weeks away from the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but with the final trailer already out (and apparently watched by about a bajillion and a half people) we shouldn’t expect any major reveals any more. Not that we actually had any (damn, that JJ Abrams is secretive). But that doesn’t mean that the Disney marketing machine is shutting down though, as all through the course of the last two days the House of Mouse revealed a series of character posters for the film’s primary cast.
Sorry, still no Luke Skywalker though. Or, oddly enough, Oscar Isaac’s Resistance X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron, which is a very strange omission since he clearly looks to be quite important to the story. What we do get is John Boyega’s Finn brandishing his blue lightsaber, Daisy Ridley’s Rey wielding her staff, Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren with his distinct saber, Harrison Ford’s Han Solo with his trademark blaster and Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia with… well, some green lines, I guess. C’mon, Leia! Get a weapon! You’re ruining the effect!
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens locally on December 16, 2015.
