Left 4 Dead Demo Coming Soon

Good news for anyone that is interested in the latest zombie bashing survival shooter from Valve. Valve's Gabe Newell has confirmed that a demo will be coming out soon for Xbox 360 and PC. "I don't know what the date is for release [of the demo] though. I think it's going to contain the first part of one of the campaigns. I think it'll probably be Hospital but I'm not sure." says Newell when discussing the topic. Hopefully we will see it before the release of the game in November because if my memory serves me correctly, the demo for Half Life 2 on PC came a good while after the release of the game in stores. So with the demo giving gamers a taste of both single and multiplayer, it should give us enough to decide if its worth our money in the crazy upcoming season of releases.

Where is Left 4 Dead on PS3?

While chatting with Valve and getting some hands on time with Left 4 Dead on Xbox 360, the folks from Kotaku report that the 360 version is looking and playing almost precisely the same as the PC version. While the game sounds really great on both PC and Xbox 360, Kotaku raised a very valid question. Where is the PS3 version? Chet Faliszek of Valve told them that the main reason is development time. While he says that porting the game over to the Xbox 360 is "almost like pushing an A button". He then goes on to explain that the PS3 version essentially needs to be built up from scratch. What this means is that the game definitely will be coming out for PS3 but it could be a while. In my opinion I think that it isn't great that PS3 owners need to wait but I think it will be worth it if it means that Valve can produce a top quality port of the game for PS3 owners to enjoy. There is no indication on when the PS3 version might be available so we will have to wait for word from Valve.

Here They Come! – New Left 4 Dead Trailer

Holy Crap! I don't know if this trailer is trying to make me want this game more or less cause it looks so insanely hectic. I am getting rather tired of saying that I can't wait for a title to come out, but the truth is that there are just so many great games coming out at the end of this year and getting me excited and this is most definitely one of them. This new trailer for Left 4 Dead gives a great indication of the incredibly stressful situations that this game is going to put players in and it looks like it's going to be nothing but pure unadulterated zombie-killing fun. They had better not screw up the netcode with this one because I want to spend a lot of time playing co-op and it had better work without any issues because if there is anything that I need in this world, it's my zombie-mashing fix. Here They Come! Bring it.
