GTA IV DLC still on track for Spring
As if the entire world was holding it's breath in anticipation of the news, Microsoft has now officially confirmed that the GTA IV DLC will be releasing in Autumn (Spring here in SA) and will then obviously be ready before Christmas. Microsoft are also happy to boast that the DLC is exclusive to the Xbox 360, just in case any PS3 owners missed it the first time around. Details of the DLC have still not been released and even though Rockstar doesn't have a habit of disappointing us, GTA IV's popularity has died down quite a bit as of late so the DLC will be a great way to get people to put their discs back in. Whether or not those same people are interested enough to jump back into the world of GTA one more time is another story. On a side note, I'm entirely convinced that this DLC will remain an Xbox 306 exclusive, so watch out for announcements about PS3 DLC shortly after. It may never come, but we can only hope. We will post more details when they become available.
We interrupt your program to bring you this special news bulletin. Philip, our Chief Reviewer just gave me a call from one of our local Makro stores. Some good prices have come our way in the form of a sale. If you didn't already know, Makro is running a special at the moment and have the PS3 40GB as well as the Xbox 360 Elite on sale for R3999.00. Want one? Need another one? Just dying to burn the money in your pocket?
Hooray! A new controller is on it's way for the Xbox 360 and it's red! Does it make your accuracy better, well... no. It doesn't do anything like that. But it's red! The new package will be coming out at a price of $65 (R531) and if you are wondering why the price is higher than usual its not because red is awesome, it's because the controller comes packaged with a play and charge kit. If you haven't already picked up on my sarcasm, I really don't get the big thing about controllers coming out in different colours. Microsoft seem pretty impressed with it (of course) and had the following to say: "The award-winning Xbox 360 Wireless Controller now comes in red, with newly designed black accents," says Microsoft. "Experience wireless gaming from up to 30 feet and enjoy nonstop play with the included Play and Charge cable and red rechargeable battery." We have yet to see any images of it but we can probably assume that it looks like the usual one, except that it will be red, with black accents.
