So you’ve got your 13th cheque and that cash is burning a hole in your pocket. Naturally, you want to play some games, but you want them at a resolution that makes those damn dirty console serfs cry with shame. Provided that you happen to have a decent bonus this year and a few extra organs, then this might be the gaming PC for you.

Built by the UK’s massively muscled 8Pack, the Supernova is a beast of a machine that has a configuration designed to handle high level visuals. As Geoff pointed out to me, despite having one less Titan card than the face-melting Large Pixel Collider, the Supernova should still be lightning quick thanks to the SSD hard drives being in raid 0 mode.

Here’s the full list of specs under the hood:

  • Intel Core i7 3930K Max Overclock to at least 4.9Ghz
  • Asus Rampage IV Xtreme X79 chipset motherboard
  • 16GB Team Extreme DDR 2400, overclocked and tuned
  • 3 x Nvidia GTX Titan Overclocked in Tri SLI
  • 2 x 512gb Plextor M5 Pro configured in Raid 0 for 1000MB/s+ transfer speeds
  • 4TB extra storage
  • Custom modified Case Labs Tower Chassis
  • Custom dual loop water cooling on CPU, motherboard and graphics
  • Aqua Computer remote and USB fan controller and system monitoring

I may be as technologically fluent as a thumbless ape, but even I have to admit that those are some damn meaty specs. The price for that rig? A cool £9,499.99. Or in smiling Randelas, that would set you back R160 047. And 27 cents.

Well that’s one way to play Crysis at max settings.
