These are the things you can say to your Xbox One

Ok, Dave.

The Xbox One is out in the US tomorrow, and one of its central pillars is that fact that you can talk to it, pretending its HAL 9000. While your Xbox One won’t ultimately try and kill you, it will respond to a number of voice commands, removing that herculean nuisance of actually having to press buttons.  Here’s a list of all the things you can ask your Xbox to do.

Click the image, which comes courtesy of GameInformer to make it all large and legible:

commands

The voice commands reportedly work quite well, though they are limited to the list above and even the slightest deviation will have your Xbox unable to recognise what you’re asking.

It’s also worth noting that apparently voice commands are region locked to the region you bought the console from.  The system is launching with voice support in the US, UK, Canada, France and Germany so if you are importing, make sure you’re getting one from an English-speaking country or Le Xbox won’t understand you.

Wonder if you could change the xbox bing search to xbox google or will that brick your console?

Bwahaha XBOX Bing! Bing is only used with IE and people use IE to either download Firefox or Chrome.

Doesn’t change the fact that real men use C and assembly …. and Python if the boss read an article about the advantages of Python.

          • Umar Moe Moe

            November 21, 2013 at 09:43

hehe, Real men do 🙂 Depends on what you doing really. Corporate development , You can’t really survive with C. If you’re doing more Hardware and low level programming then you can use that. And it is obviously the better language, but it all depends on what you’re coding
