Thanks to me spending most of my weekend pew-pewing some Imperials on Hoth in the beta for Star Wars: Battlefront, I am most definitely feeling all Star Wars-y right now. And thanks to the New York Comic Con, that buzz ain’t going away anytime soon. The NYCC kicked off on Friday, and was given an awesome start when Disney unveiled a 3-minute long trailer for Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels and the Force is most definitely strong with this one!

Rebels grew on me really fast in its first season, as what initially looked like a very Disney-fied kiddies version of Star Wars began telling some fun and thrilling stories and bringing in some amazing and badass characters. The most badass of them all (in the whole Star Wars universe, really) is of course Darth Vader, who made an appearance at the end of first season. And judging from this trailer, he is sure as hell making his presence felt in the second season!

And that’s not even getting to the Inquisitors – one of which, named the Seventh Sister, is actually voiced by Sarah Michelle “Buffy” Gellar (while her real-life husband Freddie Prinze Jr. voices Kanan) – who seem equally as threatening as the Dark Lord of the Sith. Plus, if you were a fan of Star Wars: Clone Wars, then you’re in for a real treat as a familiar face or two is also joining the cast.

Hot damn! I cannot wait for that! And luckily that won’t be long as season 2 of Star Wars Rebels premieres on Disney XD on Wednesday, October 14.
