Wrath of the Titans Trailer – The movie I wanted

Last year I was highly excited to get down to my local cinema to watch Clash of the Titans hoping it would be an epic movie experience of gods vs titans with huge action scenes and over the top powers.

It wasn’t. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy Clash of the Titans as I really did. Granted it was a bit slow but the violence and emotion in that movie was amazing to behold and the story was hugely enjoyable. It just wasn’t what I expected… however it’s sequel, Wrath of the Titans looks exactly like what I expected Clash to be and I can’t wait for this to be released later this year.

Rosamund Pike also makes an appearance as Queen Andromeda who teams up with Perseus to slay the Titans and to right the wrongs that have occurred in the land of the gods. Wrath of the Titans is squaring off to be a blockbuster hit this coming Spring.

This movie should be right up my alley but the first one disillusioned and disappointed me so much, I don’t think I can even be bothered with a second outing promising “But this is cooler!”

You know what I want to see? The real cut of Clash of the Titans. The version we eventually saw had tons of studio meddling and on the set script rewrites. The original script was so much better and addressed every single one of the issues I had with the movie.
Read it here, and tell me that this does not sound way more badass:

Cool trailer, especially if you’re a God of War fan. But Holy Crap what an absolutely awful choice of music. Really, Marilyn Manson’s cover of Sweet Dreams. Jeez. Just use some music from Two Steps to Hell. There. Done.

As for the film, the design and imagination of it looks awesome. Hopefully, it goes against the current Hollywood trend and is shot and edited in such a way that allows the audience to actually see what the designers worked so hard to come up with

I absolutely loved that music choice… one of my favourites

I think the post production 3D conversion of Clash is what ruined it for me. That and all the bloody cliches.

I stayed far away from the 3D version, but by all accounts it was horrid. I’ve read a few articles that proposed that it was the turning point for many filmgoers w.r.t 3D movies.

Trailers have become way too undependable for my liking.Sure,it looks great, but directors like Michael Bay actually have sequences in the movie shot specifically for their use in trailers. The rest of the film could be an absolute turd muncher and you wouldn’t know it until release date.
