Fresh off a successful stint directing the first Avenger, Captain America, Johnston has signed up for a new project, one that will see him working with a smaller budget and team, in Not safe for work.
Written by Adam Mason and Simon Boyes, NSFW tells the story of a young paralegal trapped in an office with a dangerous killer, who is determined to destroy some evidence in order to earn a paycheck from a rival corporation.
Couper Samuelson is executive producing the film while Bryan Brucks handles co-producing responsibilities.
The film marks a rare move for Johnston, as the director is most commonly associated with big-budget summer popcorn films, such as Jumanji and The Wolfman, instead of smaller budgeted projects.
NSFW is currently budgeted at $2.5 million.
