Despite the fact that he’s old enough to be my granddad, Michael Douglas has no intention to take a break from acting. He’s already got work lined up in the upcoming grumpy old men in Nevada film, Last Vegas, and he’s been busy filming some naughty parties at a mansion or two as Liberace in Candlebra.
And adding to that workload, Douglas will now also be portraying former US president and actor, Ronald Reagan, in Reykjavik.
Mike “Great Expectations” Newell is in talks to helm the film, taking over from Ridley Scott who would prefer to help produce it instead. Set in 1986, Reykjavik tells the true life tale of the peace treaty that the then American president worked out with his Soviet counterpart Mikhail Gorbachev following the Chernobyl disaster.
With Douglas on board, all that is needed now is for someone to paint a birthmark on their head and join him as the Russian leader, for this project to truly get off the ground.

“Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego” taught me that one more than 20 years ago. Who says video games are bad for you?!
