Watch Kelly Brook kick some ass in this new teaser for HEAVY METAL

Ever heard of  Métal Hurlant? I don’t blame you if you haven’t, because it is pretty niche stuff overall. Still, for those of you who did read the gory, adrenaline packed issues of Heavy Metal that the legendary French artist Jean “Mobeus” Giraud worked on, rejoice!

It’s coming to television, and it has a who’s who is available of actors signed on to take part in it. Teasers and pictures, after the jump.

Directed by Guillaume Lubrano, the French developed show stars (deep breath now):

Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner, Sin City, Batman Begins), Joe Flanigan (Stargate Atlantis, Fringe, Warehouse 13, CSI: Miami), Scott Adkins (The Expendables 2, The Bourne Supremacy, X-Men: Origins), Michael Jai White (Spawn, The Dark Knight, Black Dynamite), Kelly Brook (Piranha 3D, The Italian Job, Smallville), David Belle (Prince of Persia, Bablyon A.D.), James Marsters (Buffy, Angel, Smallville, Torchwood, Hawaii Five O), Darren Shahlavi (300, Mortal Kombat Legacy, Arrow), Michelle Ryan (The Bionic Woman, Doctor Who).

`Wheeeeeze`

So far, the show has 24 half hour episodes, split over two seasons, and will debut on UK televisions later this year. And maybe, if we’re lucky, we’ll also get to see it. If DSTV eventually decides to stop airing constant repeats of Kardashians and fat people pawning items that is.

Damn. That’s quite the cast. I’d watch it for Joe Flannigan alone. My life has been a lot emptier over the last few years with no Stargate in it.
And right now, I’m so starved for SciFi that that has me pretty intrigued.

    WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!

I just ran in circles until I passed out.

A Heavy Metal TV show?! Even if it sucks, it makes the universe a better place!

Suck it, all you Marvel and DC posers!

I am convinced that the last story of the first movie was a huge inspiration for He-Man…
