Ron Perlman wants to sell you some Kaiju organs in this new feature and trailer for PACIFIC RIM

Grab yourself a partner who shares similar dirty thought patterns, strap yourself into a massive Jaeger mecha that’ll have several Japanese manga artists rolling in their graves and prepare for a slobber-knocker, because Pacific Rim is almost here.

The hype machine is nearing the apex of its promotional blitz, and this time, the focus is on the pilots and the people of this fine planet. And the health benefits of consuming Kaiju monster organs in order to cure everything from erectile dysfunction through to cancer. Wait what?

The latest trailer, and most likely also the final one, spends more time with the human element of the film, the people behind cancelled apocalypses and gigantic robot fists that weigh in at 2500 tonnes of awesome. For those of you who still think that Pacific Rim is a Transformers rip-off, I’ll type very slowly from this point on. It’s more of actors Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Ron Perlman, and Rinko Kikuchi at the end of the day, with a slight hint of the nightmare fuel that they have to face during the film.

And now for the creepier side of marketing. Director Guillermo Del Toro’s Hellboy, Ron Perlman is in the film and he has some goods that he wants to sell you. Notably, organs harvested from Kaiju and sold on the black market. Kaiju Remedies! They’re good for what ails ya!

Note to self: Convince rhino poachers to go after Kaiju instead.
