Usually when a film heads back for some additional shooting, it doesn’t always bode well. On the other hand, movies from the Marvel stable have gone back to shoot some additional scenes over the last couple of years, with Thor: The Dark World adding some more Loki flavour that helped the film, instead of burdened it.

And it looks like the first Avenger himself will also be heading back some extra content shooting.

Captain America (2)

According to the Daily Superhero, Captain America: The Winter Soldier will assemble the old crew for two days of shooting this month from December 16, and then return after the holidays for two more weeks of filming. The reason for the reshoots? No one knows right now, but as mentioned above, this isn’t the first Marvel movie to do this.

In fact, it’s becoming a tradition with those particular films, something that began this year with Iron Man 3 doing reshoots. Of course, Disney isn;t complaining about having to drop extra coin on these shoots. Iron Man 3 made over $1.2 billion worldwide, while the latest Thor sequel grossed over $610 million internationally, so far.

The Captain America sequel arrives April 14 2014, and stars  Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Redford, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie and Cobie Smulders. Anthony Russo and Joe Russo direct.
