If you haven’t heard yet, Jesse Eisenberg will soon be going head to hairless head with both Batman and Superman as the villainous Lex Luthor. I am assuming that getting himself ready to play such an iconic villain, may be why Eisenberg has been drawn to lot of dark roles lately. And that preparation will continue with Night Moves, the second step in his descent into the darkness (the first step being when he created Facebook).

The highly hyped eco-terrorism thriller has produced a lot of buzz on the festival circuit, but Joe Public hasn’t seen much footage from it. So probably in an effort to rectify that, we now have not just one, but two new trailers, showing off just how Eisenberg and friends/co-conspirators Dakota Fanning and Peter Sarsgaard spend their weekends. Spoiler: It involves lots of explosives and distrust.

We have both a domestic and international trailer, and while the domestic one is all about upping the hulking sense of foreboding, the international thriller picks up the pace a step, and also shows a little bit more of the narrative.

Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning, and Peter Sarsgaard star as radical activists plotting to blow up Oregon’s Green Peter Dam in an act of environmental sabotage. As their plan marches towards fruition, they soon discover that small steps have enormous consequences. “Old Joy” and “Wendy and Lucy” director Kelly Reichardt crafts another graceful and absorbing film about outsiders searching for a meaningful place on the edges of the system in this atmospheric suspense thriller.

Night Moves will be blowing up your cinema as from May 30, 2014.
