This weekend past, my wife finished her rewatch of all 8 seasons of 24 and was then instantly upset with me because the new limited event-series, 24: Live Another Day, wasn’t immediately available for her to watch. She needed her Jack Bauer fix real bad, and somehow I had prevented that from happening.
This is the type of unreasonable hold that the now legendary, multiple Emmy winning show has on people, myself included (although not quite as nutty). We’ve been been waiting years for Kiefer Sutherland’s counter-terrorist agent to return to our screens, once again leaving us just as breathless as he constantly appears to be, and now that we’re finally less than a month away from that happening, all logic is just going out the window. So if you find yourself in a similar situation as I did, then I suggest you just pop this new 2-minute long trailer for 24: Live Another Day on loop, until all the crazy ideas (like shooting people in their legs) go away.
Four years ago, we left Jack a fugitive from justice and we’re going to pick him up four years later in London. Jack is soon back on the run and it takes us into the streets of London and in places that break new ground for the show. We’ve shot in New York, Washington, Los Angeles and Cape Town — but now we’re in London and Jack’s loose on the streets of Europe, hunted by and hunting bad guys.
24: Live Another Day also stars series regulars Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver and William Devane, with newcomers Yvonne Strahovski, Giles Matthey, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Michael Wincott and Judy Davis, and will be debuting on FOX on May 5, 2014.
