There are ten million reasons to pass through this small trailer in SWELTER

Greed. Retribution. Cash. A leftover plot thread from Arnold Scwharzenegger’s The Last Stand. Do I really need to say anything else in order to get you interested in this trailer for Jean Claude Van Damme’s Swelter?

In Keith Parmer’s (Mob Rules) action-thriller Swelter, Jean-Claude Van Damme plays a member of a bank robbing gang that manages to steal a cool $100 million before some of them are apprehended by the police. In the vein of the brutal heist drama Reservoir Dogs, the modern crime thriller A History of Violence, Swelter is a violent story of greed and retribution. Also starring Josh Henderson, Brad Carter, Alfred Molina and Lennie James.

Man, Alfred Molina must be in need of a paycheque if he happens to be in this film. JCVD plays third fiddle in this flick, which also stars Lennie James, Grant Bowler and Catalina Moreno. It looks like it has a dozen plots all on the same oven boiling over as various threads overlap and mingle to form a strange sauce and damn these analogies are running amok again.

Swelter is out on Blu-Ray, August 12, in case there happens to be nothing else worth watching on TV.
