After the incredible, record-breaking Skyfall – arguably the most important James Bond film of the Daniel Craig era – the many well-known pieces of classic 007 mythology were finally back on the table (in an updated, modern fashion, of course). This rebooted Bond had come full circle, so what better time to tackle his iconic foes in Spectre again?

But based in this first teaser trailer for the superspy’s latest adventure, things are a little different this time around. For starters, nobody is stroking any white cats or aiming giant space lasers of death at people (damn, I’m gonna miss those). And this time, the foe is quite personal to 007.

Check out the brief teaser below to see what I mean.

In SPECTRE, a cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.

Well that pretty much confirms the recent rumours of the relationship between Christoph Waltz’s Oberhauser and Bond. For the few of you who didn’t pick up the clue in the trailer  that gives it all away, I won’t spoil it here as it’s supposed to be a big third act reveal in the movie. I will say it adds a very intriguing dynamic that we are yet to see in a Bond villain. One thing I love though is how Waltz’s shadowy appearance on-screen almost echoes Bond’s big movie introduction in Doctor No.

Also, DAT ASTON MARTIN!

Other than that there isn’t a gigantic amount to take away from this trailer – it is a teaser for a movie that is still in production, after all – but being the Bond fanboy that I am, I’m still super pumped for this. And to help keep that pumpedness up, here are four new official pics (via CominggSoon’s set visit) from the film’s Mexico shoot which is happening right now.

Spectre sees Skyfall’s Sam Mendes and John Logan once again returning to direct and write, respectively, while franchise stalwarts Neal Purvis and Robert Wade also contributed to the script. Besides for Naomie Harris’ Moneypenny, Monica Belucci’s Lucia Sciarra and Jesper Christensen’s Mr. White seen in the trailer, Spectre also features Léa Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann,  Andrew Scott as Denbigh, Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx, Ralph Fiennes as the new M, Ben Whishaw as Q and Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner.

It is scheduled for release on November 6, 2015.
