Hopefully this means that we will be getting it sooner than expected, else it will become easier to import.
Either way it’s a good thing as I personally have quite an intense dislike against the light weight SIXAXIS.
The Dualshock 3 has now officially been released to retail in the US which should mean that all the future Playstations will have the new controller bundled.

I haven’t actually done any research on this, but does the Dualshock 3 also include the SIXAXIS motion sensor functionality.
And if not, how will games like Army of Two work with the Dualshock 3 controller, since you reload by given the controller a shake and also control the parachute direction using the motion sensor…

Yes the new controller has motion sensor as well. I did post a review about it previously and as far as I remember the only real difference in the inclusion of rumble now

but…but… rumble is sooo last gen. 🙂
So, DS3 in the “other” NTSC territory.
Lazy, where did the 2009 DS3 is SA thing start anyway ? I only ask because aren’t we getting the MGS4/PS3 bundles here (those were with the Dual Shock) and that’s in June.

That controller looks so last gen.
@Lazy- Wouldn’t the rumble upset the motion sensor in making it pick up small motions when the controller rumbles?

@Fox1, Apparently not…. The Wii control already rumbles and works fine…
@Milesh, the 2009 DS3 thing started from me asking SterKinekor when they are going to be bringing them into SA. The local MGS4 bundles have not been confirmed yet if I recall correctly
