Max Payne 3 was originally supposed to be out…around nowish. It was then delayed to the first quarter of 2010. I hope you haven’t planned your life around that particular release, because it looks like it’s been delayed again. You’ll now be able to play as the filthy, bald and bearded Max in the "fourth quarter of fiscal 2010," pegging the game’s release somewhere between August and October of 2010.
This doesn’t fill me with much confidence in the title. I’m still not entirely convinced that Rockstar Vancouver – responsible for Bully and…um..Bully – are the right guys for the job; this will be their first proper “Next gen†project, after all.
Original Max Payne developers Remedy are hard at work on the also perpetually delayed 360 exclusive Alan Wake. This’ll also be the first time that Max Payne writer Sam Lake will not be involved. I certainly hope the extra development time ensures that Rockstar Vancouver deliver the sort of experience that Max Payne fans expect.
