It’s all over… for now.
EA Games has released a statement announcing that they are no longer pursuing a takeover bid for Take Two International.
No real reasons have been given yet but I would wager it has something to do with the negative publicity combined with a great current EA line up and the new and improved financial position of Take Two after GTA did so well.
Or in other words
“It’s Complicated”
While I don’t think EA would have ruined GTA, like some people implied, I do think it’s a good thing that it never happened. I believe that we need many strong developers and as soon as we are limited to a few then things can go bad.
