Shhh, no one tell Julius Caeser about this because he is going to be pissed!
Crytek have announced that the Playstation 3 multiplayer demo of Crysis 2 will finally see the light of day on March 15. Playstation 3 owners won’t be wrong to feel a little left out considering the demo hits a week before the game’s US release date and the PC and 360 versions are already available.
The Xbox 360 multiplayer beta for Crysis 2 was one of those prime examples of why companies actually run open betas, as it was plagued with tons of matchmaking bugs and online issues that would have otherwise happened on release day.
Thankfully Crytek managed to learn a lot from their open beta and we all hope that come release day, we all get to have a smooth online experience right from the start. With Killzone 3 and Bulletstorm just recently released, the demo had better make a damn good first impression, that’s for sure.
Crysis 2 releases on all available platforms on March 22 in the US and March 25 everywhere else.
