By now, you’re used to The Walking Dead and its habit of bumping off characters whenever the plot demands it be done. Nobody is safe from death, with a grisly demise at the rotting hands of a walker not too far off. So it should be no surprise that someone else is going to die soon in the next season of the hit show. And this one might hit you right in the gut.
And no, it’s not Carl. Dammit. Major spoilers and gruesome imagery to follow

Right, that should be enough of a warning. If you’ve made it this far, then I hope you’re not eating anything right now. The next casualty on the show? None other than Glenn, who has been around since the beginning, surviving and helping to save the day on a few occasions. In the comics, Glenn has been dead since the hundredth issue, in a scene that showed just how unforgiving the new world could be and that the greatest threat out there wasn’t a zombie, but man himself.
Or a baseball bat named Lucille.
Running afoul of a local warlord by the name of Negan who vastly outnumbers the current crew, Glenn is picked to serve as an example to everyone else in a grisly display:
It gets more gory from there, but you get the idea. While you won’t see Negan (Yet), it looks like Glenn will be meeting his fate in the show, albeit in a different manner. According to the fan-page The Spoiling Dead (Which has broken several cast deaths in the past), Glenn is headed for the zombie-free pasture in the sky:
RUMOR: we have heard from multiple sources about a possible death. Word is the death of Glenn was filmed yesterday. It’s possible it could be someone else, but multiple sources stated Glenn. Reports are the set was locked down and everyone was told the cast would not be coming out.
Alanna [Masterson] tweeted yesterday during filming ‘when someone great is gone.’
As we stated this is currently a rumor and we are tracking this and trying to get more information.
Adding fuel to the fire: Steven reportedly left set at 2 or right around then. Alanna’s tweet was at 1:28. It’s said that Steven was hugging production members and shaking everyone’s hand while leaving.
Toss some pinched salt over your shoulder, but it looks like you may be saying goodbye to a series regular when the show returns.
