Mobile Legends: Bang Bang celebrated ten years in 2026. Moonton marked it with an anniversary pass running from September 4 through November 1, plus events offering free skins. Nice gesture. While this will never replace the years of ranked grinding that a veteran player has experienced, this is one reason that people buy and sell completed accounts.

To help determine if you are interested in purchasing an account there are three things you need to answer. What information do a rank and a skin collection provide? What does the publisher actually let you own? And how does account access change hands?

Why old accounts have value

The game launched in 2016 and over time grew into a major force within the mobile esports community. In January 2026 the M7 World Championship reached an all-time high of 5.68 million concurrent viewers as reported by Esports Charts. With that audience, years of progress on an account can attract buyers. Sellers are aware of this. Browse listings for a “moba legends account” and most lead with rank and skin totals. Consider these numbers to be a starting point for a discussion, not a final price.

Reading the rank

Once you reach level 8 and own at least five heroes, you gain entry to ranked mode. Then begins the climb: Warrior, Elite, Master, Grandmaster, Epic, Legend, Mythic, and above that are Mythical Honor, Mythical Glory and then finally Mythical Immortal (starting at 100 stars). The difference between a Mythic badge and an Immortal badge is vast. Also, find out which rank the posting refers to and whether that rank is current. An account purchase will not grant its owner the skillset required to maintain a high ranking.

Seasonal skins versus shop skins

Seasonal ranked skins are given as rewards during a season of play. However, simply because a skin was awarded as part of a previous season’s rewards does not mean that skin is no longer obtainable. Check the shop within the game and view past rewards to ensure you’re not paying for perceived rarity. Request images or proof of each skin listed and any seasonal awards as opposed to assuming all the listed items will be provided upon completion of the purchase. Shop skins, however, can be purchased directly from Moonton. Other skins are given via events or exchanges. A collection can show what is unlocked, but it cannot confirm who earned the items or how well they play. The price should reflect the actual items you wish to obtain.

What Moonton’s terms say

This section presents less-than-cheerful information. According to Moonton’s terms of service, players receive a personal licence to use the game. That licence is non-transferable and revocable. The terms expressly prohibit selling, renting, trading or otherwise transferring your account or login credentials. Access to skins is licensed too, rather than treated as property you own. Moonton retains the rights to suspend or terminate access for any violation of the terms. Review your local and regional terms prior to considering the purchase of an account; your acceptance of any seller’s representations will not supersede Moonton’s terms.

As a purchaser, you are essentially purchasing access that can potentially be revoked by Moonton. A suspension may cost you the account and its skins without recovering the money paid to the seller. No marketplace guarantee removes this risk. If this is a concern, consider exiting now.

Who holds the keys

Depending on your gaming platform and location, your account may be associated with either a Moonton account or third party logins such as Google, Facebook or Apple. Anyone still controlling a linked login or recovery email may have a route back in. Prior to making payment, ask the seller to show the binding screen and describe which logins they currently control. Lack of cooperation tells you plenty. Simply changing a password does not prove the previous owner has lost all avenues for gaining back into your account. To protect an account you legitimately control, secure the recovery email and activate two-step authentication whenever available; CISA states that using multifactor authentication greatly reduces your chances of having your account compromised. That security measure does not make an account sale permitted by Moonton.

Paying safely

The FTC’s online shopping advice recommends paying by credit card where possible, because it may offer a way to dispute a charge. That does not guarantee a refund for an account purchase. Review the payment provider’s policies, exclusions and deadlines before relying on protection. Be cautious of vendors who insist on payment methods such as gift cards, wire transfers or cryptocurrency. Vendors attempting to rush you or direct payments through external systems should also raise red flags. Maintain records of the posting, communications with the seller, receipts and vendor contact information in case issues arise related to your transaction.

Final words

An acquired account could save you months of climbing the ranks. At the same time, it is merely access that the publisher can revoke under terms that prohibit account transfers. Research the stated rank when acquiring an account. Verify claims made concerning rarity of skins listed. Understand which logins still provide access to the account and which payment rules apply. Those checks may expose an overpriced or risky deal. They cannot make an account transfer permitted by Moonton or guarantee that you will retain access.
