The Nemesis System is something all together unique from Shadow of Mordor, adding replay value and a ton of context and fun. It’s what sets the game apart from all the other open-world RPGs on the market and now has yet another video to hype it up.
With the game already on the market, I wasn’t expecting more videos. However, this one is quite cool, showing how you can forget a nemesis in the game using nothing of actual gameplay.
One of my favourite moments of the game was when I faced up against a Captain who started the fight by saying “last time you gave me a nasty scar, it’s time for me to repay the favour” – he remembered our fight and commented on the fact. Others made reference to running away in our last encounters, or perhaps to being burned or frightened. It adds so much context to the game and made me understand why all the characters hated me so much – of course they wanted to kill me if doing so could get them a promotion, or revenge for previous humiliation.
Is this a rabbit hole you are prepared to fall down, or are you more interested in Shadow of Mordor to explore all the Tolkien lore? Will you be carefully gathering and inspecting every collectible, or will you take the route of branding every single orc in the world?
Shadow of Mordor is out now on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and it will be coming soon to older consoles.

I love the idea of this system. Going to spend many hours on this. Also, even OvG has said he likes the idea… Yes, even it!

Then it’s settled, if OVG likes a game then there’s no denying it’s a great game.

Just remember – you’ll need a shiny new PS4 or Xbone… The Nemesis system isn’t present / dumbed down in the older-gen consoles – not enough memory to support it. 😉

Hey, this ain’t got nothing to do with the game itself but thought you peeps might be interested in this.
SWTOR is having a 12.32 x XP boost for class quests, effectively trashing all side quests, PvP, dungeons etc. in terms of leveling for about two months. They say that you can now “Level up all your characters to level 55 (current cap) to then go to experience the new expansion coming in December” which is basically 3.0 starring your favourite Jedi-Sith, Revan. Who died. Sort of.

So, yeah, wanna hear your thoughts on this. Can’t find a way to contact you otherwise.
Thanks!
I just want to make it clear that this is not 2XP or some shit like that.
This is literally about you getting experience points TWELVE TIMES AS FAST as you would normally from story missions. Basically, anyone can now level a toon to cap in about a week or so, and those with too much time on their hands in less than a day.

That’s pretty interesting.
Maybe I should get back into it… assuming my internet works well enough to play.

I so badly want this. My flatmate is playing the crap out of this game! But, I’m as broke as a hobo and my non-gamer girlfriend is extremely persuasive.
