You can make as much fun of the first, horrendous Paul Blart: Mall Cop movie as much as you want. It doesn’t change the fact that the people who made it laughed all the way to the bank, because that movie made over $183 million worldwide off of a budget of just $26 million. In fact, $146 million came from USA audiences alone. The film was a massive hit in other words. So of course it’s getting a sequel.
In this sequel, in which Kevin James reprises the role of Paul Blart, the security guard is headed to Las Vegas to attend a Security Guard Expo with his teenage daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez) before she departs for college. While at the convention, he inadvertently discovers a heist – and it’s up to Blart to apprehend the criminals.
It’sa safe to say that if you enjoyed the first Paul Blart: Mall Cop movie then there’s something wrong with you and yes you most likely will enjoy the sequel. The film stars Raini Rodriguez, Eduardo Verástegui, Daniella Alonso, Neal McDonough, and David Henrie. Andy Fickman directs for an April 17 release next year.
