The Game Awards kicked off tonight with a lengthy pre-show, which included a bunch of award winners and minor game teases. But I don’t think anyone expected a name like From Software to appear almost so randomly near the end. It’s clear that it’s a new project from the studio behind Dark Souls and Bloodborne from the moment you hear the first bit of sound from the strange teaser. But aside from a name, there’s really not much else to go on.
Shadows Die Twice is the only text attached to the vague teaser, which doesn’t give an indication of whether the game is a new IP or a sequel to an existing one. If I had to wager, it looks a lot like the Bloodborne sequel everyone has been asking for, but with From you never really know. All I can be certain in guessing is that Shadows Die Twice isn’t the name of the game we’re waiting for.
