ANT-MAN early reactions – A small hero with a big heart

Ant Man (7)

In just over two weeks, Marvel’s smallest hero hits the big screen. Ant-Man rounds out 2015 for Marvel and the House of Mouse, with a flick that swaps Earth-shattering plots from genocidal robots for a more down to Earth plot about a more relatable hero.

And according to some early reports, it looks like Marvel has yet another hit on their hands. The early buzz (heh) is just about universally positive for the more intimate Marvel movie, with a few negative opinions scattered in for good measure:

Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Peña, T.I., and Bobby Cannavale. It also proves that anybody named with any variation of “Darryn” is an evil and horrible person who deserves to be run over with a Thomas the Train playset.

Yay! This was the first Marvel movie I’ve truly been worried about. It really had potential to not work out well. HOWEVER we all know that this doesn’t mean that it will do good sales, but hopefully this will be a GotG situation and the word of mouth will get people into theatre seats.
