Benedict Cumberbatch to voice the Grinch in a new animated HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS

There seems to be no stopping the talent train that is Benedict Cumberbatch these days and why would you want to. Ever since my first encounter with this great actor in the fantastic show Sherlock I have been a huge fan, and I have been delighted to see that Cumberbatch has receive his due in terms of the work he has received and the rise of his start globally – the guys sure does deserve the cred.

Aside from acting in some really cool movies and sadly pushing his Sherlock duties aside because of his hectic schedule the man has also lent his voice in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug as the Smaug, which worked really well – he will now be putting that recognizable vocals to work in the next rendition of How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Directed by Pete Candeland and brought to you by Universal and Illumination Entertainment, who are responsible for such animated hits like Minions and Despicable Me 2, the popular Christmas tale is in good hands. While I loved Jim Carrey’s live action portrayal of The Grinch, as I do with the majority of his work, there is no doubt in me that Cumberbatch will add his own unique skills to give us a memorable version of this story.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas will open in theaters on November 10, 2017.
