Africa has a surprising heritage in Punk, the iconoclastic music genre that rocked the world in the late Seventies. But it is a more tragic tale, not the least because countries like South Africa openly frowned on the rebellious trend.

That would have all been forgotten to history, were it not for the excellent documentary Punk in Africa. And if you find yourself near Linden in Johannesburg tonight, you can catch a free screening of it. The special show will be held at Amuse Cafe at 19:30 – learn more on the Facebook event page.
