The Hulk has certainly delivered some memorable fight scenes in the last few years in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, one of the first of these was in 2012’s The Avengers movie. That scene saw The Hulk punch Thor completely out of the frame, although my favorite scene is still the “Puny God” scene between Hulk and Loki.
Now Thor of course is no easy opponent and in the next movie for Chris Hemsworth as the God of thunde,r he will once again be facing off against The Hulk in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok.
Hemsworth however is saying that this time around Thor will get one over on the Hulk :
I’d like to think I let him win last time, but because this movie is called Thor, I have to win this time. I hope it’s a Butch Cassidy (and the Sundance Kid)) sort of story. That would be fun. I love Mark. I think those two characters haven’t spent a whole lot of time talking to each other on screen (so far in the Marvel movies) , so it’s something new, I think it would bring something different out of the characters. It’s hard to have a conversation with the Hulk.
Marvel has confirmed that production on Thor: Ragnarok will begin next summer in Australia, with a new rumor surfacing that the studio is looking for an actress to play the female villain, who may be Amora the Enchantress.
If this rumor is true then this will be the first time that we will see a female take on the role of villain in the Marvel cinematic universe. This is still a rumor though and the studio is yet to confirm anything of the sort.
What are your thoughts on Thor defeating the Hulk? How will this shape the future for The Avengers Saga with Captain America and Iron Man also going toe to toe in Civil War?
