I’ll be honest, and admit that the first time that I saw How To Train Your Dragon, the film just didn’t gel with me. It looked magnificent, I’ll give it that, but something was off. Then I watched it again, and it finally clicked. It’s one of the better movies that Dreamworks Animation has pushed out in several years, a film that relies more on heart and quality animation than trying to sell a movie based on the celebrity voices inside of it. And dammit, the sequel looks even better so far.
The thrilling second chapter of the epic “How to Train Your Dragon” trilogy returns to the fantastical world of the heroic Viking Hiccup and his faithful dragon Toothless. The inseparable duo must protect the peace — and save the future of men and dragons from the power-hungry Drago.
Shut up, stop gawking and somebody help me find my jaw which dropped somewhere. As fantastic as the visuals look in this movie, I’m just happy to see that it still has that youthful enthusiasm inside of it, with plenty of heart to spare. How To Train Your Dragon 2 is out on June 13.

Be sure to watch the TV series first as it is a lead up to the second movie. It is called Dragons: Riders of Berk.
