Gerard Butler in talks to board the POINT BREAK remake

2 min read

Hey, we’ve gone several days into the new year without spoiling movie nostalgia for anyone here! Man, we must be losing our touch. With that in mind, don’t forget about the eventual remake of Point Break that will be on the way. And more EXTREME than ever, because it just might have a certain Spartan king kicking bank robberies into EXTREME overdrive.

According to Heat Vision, Gerard Butler is now in talks to star in the remake, with an eye on the role of Bodhi, made famous by Patrick Swayze’s performance. The report says that Butler’s Bodhi will be “an expert extreme sports athlete who also seeks to find nirvana through the conquest of a series of athletic feats such as surfing 100-waves. He saves Johnny Utah, the undercover FBI agent, and brings him into the fold of international criminals. The part of Utah is not cast.”

Whoa dude, sounds extreme. If you’re still not convinced about the point of remaking this film, then this synopsis from director Kurt Wimmer most likely will not sell you on the film either. Lacks a certain amount of EXTREME I reckon:

The new version of the film is set in the world of international extreme sports, and like the original involves an undercover FBI agent infiltrating a criminal ring.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
