By now you should have seen Batman VS Superman and formed an opinion on the movie. At the very least you would have heard the chatter, and there has certainly been plenty of that. The critics were not impressed, the fans have tried to fight this opinion – for the most part. I really liked it. Whatever your thoughts are, Henry Cavill and Zack Snyder are excited to get started on a new Superman solo movie and this is happy days for me.
This will largely depend on where the box office returns end for Dawn Of Justice and how negotiations will go with Warner Bros. So far so good I would say if looking at the base amount of $682 million that the movie has already made worldwide. Now of course we would have to wait for the DC cinematic wheels that are already in place and how those play out over the next few years to see how the next Superman movie will fit in but here is what Snyder has to say about the project.
I think if we could get a good script it would be great to have a standalone Superman movie. I think that would be fun to do,” Snyder said. “Part of the reason we haven’t announced the standalone Superman movie was to support some of the events of (Batman v Superman).
Cavill also had something to say about his return as The Man Of Steel.
I do believe it depends upon the success of this movie. If this goes well then we can start to negotiate with Warner Bros. to develop a standalone Superman, but they’ve got their plan set out for other stuff and Justice Leagues and various other movies. It’s about finding the time really. It’s something I would be very keen to do.
