I think monster trucks are awesome! I have great memories of going to an old racetrack in Goodwood when I was growing up and watching giant trucks smash through and over other cars. And that sound! I like them so much that I have been tucking into as many Big King XXL meals as I can afford to maybe win a trip to check out some monster trucks in the states (Not that I need an excuse to stuff my face with those yummy burgers). So naturally I was intrigued to check out the trailer for Monster Trucks, but like they say in the trailer, “I don’t even know how to begin to explain”.

Well I can. See there is this kid Tripp, played by Lucas Till (Havoc in X-Men: Apocalypse and the upcoming McGyver reboot) that discovers a strange monster he eventually names Creach – apparently played by Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon – and amazingly it seems he is not totally crapping himself with this discovery but decides to become BFF’s with said monster. This monster it turns out loves to live in trucks, and Tripp just happens to be working on his broken down truck. It is a match made in heaven as their powers combine and his truck now literally turns into a Monster Truck!

Don’t believe me, check it out for yourselves:

At least there is something original coming out of Hollywood right? And who knows, it could just be a fun ride or at least another movie that you could take the kids to see while secretly enjoying it more than they do. I would love to know what your thoughts are on this movie, so let us know in the comments below.

Starring Lucas Till, Jane Levy, Barry Pepper, Amy Ryan, Rob Lowe, Danny Glover, Thomas Lennon, Holt McCallany and directed by Chris Wedge, Monster Trucks is set for release 13th January 2017.
