Monday Box Office Report – The Ice Age wipes out the amazing arachnid

2 min read

After just a week at the top spot, the itsy bitsy spider has found itself flushed down the box office loo, all the way to second place. Usurping that spot, was a collection of motley prehistoric creatures and a strange little rat with a nut to pick. Here’s a look at who ended up where, over the past weekend.

With Ice Age arriving, basically all the films in the top ten took a one spot tumble, although Magic Mike and friends managed to stay firm in their fifth place spot, a situation that was mirrored with Katy Perry and Moonrise Kingdom. As for everyone else, here are the latest box office results:

  • Ice Age: Continental Drift – $46 million
  • The Amazing Spider-Man – $35 million
  • Ted – $22.1 million
  • Brave – $10.6 million
  • Magic Mike – $9 million
  • Savages – $8.7 million
  • Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection Program – $5.6 million
  • Katy Perry: Part of me – $3.7 million
  • Moonrise Kingdom – $3.6 million
  • Madagascar 3 – $3.5 million
