Contrary to popular belief, there was actually more that happened this weekend past besides celebrating the half century birthday of a time travelling alien. Friday also saw the return to the big screen of Katniss Everdeen and her not so merry band in much anticipated sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
I thought the film was one of those rare franchise sequels that actually improved on the original, by featuring a better handle on the source material, better characterization and an improved visual fidelity. And judging by how it’s already surpassed it’s predecessor’s box office achievements, it seems that many people agree with me.
But are you one of them, or do you think this sequel didn’t satisfy your hunger for something better? Discuss below, but as always just remember that this discussion is for people who have already seen the movie, so SPOILERS may be present.

I am one of them. I really enjoyed catching fire. The build up was great, and I enjoyed the character development a lot. Especially the way the movie ended!
