Due to rampant corruption, inefficiency and (at least locally) being forced to wear those hideous blue-gray boots, being a policeman is not quite the cool career choice it used to be. But there are still some kids that want to grow up to become cops one day.
New Girl alums Damian Wayans Jr. and Jack Johnson may not be kids (and I think it’s safe to say that they’re also not grown up, despite their adult appearances) but they get to live out that fantasy in Let’s Be Cops. And based on this new Red-Band trailer for the upcoming flick, they look set to pull a few comedy 187`s.
It’s the ultimate buddy cop movie except for one thing: they’re not cops. When two struggling pals dress as police officers for a costume party, they become neighborhood sensations. But when these newly-minted “heroes” get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives, they must put their fake badges on the line.
Let’s Be Cops also stars Rob Riggle, Nina Dobrev, James D’Arcy, Keegan-Michael Key and Andy Garcia, and will be going out on patrol on August 14, 2014.
